#Diabetes Mellitus Management

This course aims to equip caregivers with the knowledge and skills on caring for people with diabetes. Caregivers will understand diabetes mellitus disease, able to handle diabetic emergencies (severe hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia), advice on well-balanced diet, sick day management and travelling tips, knowing the importance of foot care and keeping active, as well as performing home blood glucose monitoring and insulin injection for person with diabetes.

At the end of the course, trainee is able to

1) Understand Diabetes Mellitus

2) Handle diabetic emergencies ( Severe hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia )

3) Perform home blood glucose monitoring

4) Perform insulin injection

5) Advise on a well-balanced diet

6) Advise on sick day management and travelling tips

7) Manage foot care
